About

Tina Druce-Hoffman is a professional illustrator, graphic designer and instructor. Because she believes that drawing from life outside of the studio sharpens artist’s skills, she is an enthusiastic En Plein Air Artist. When unable to enjoy the out-of-doors she paints florals and still lives as well as indulging in creating fantastical and whimsical illustrations. Currently, Tina is scratching the surface of dry-point etching and enjoying the results.

Her table top gaming illustration work includes the Collectable Card Games; The Wheel of Time™, 7th Sea Collectible Card Game™, Legend of the Five Rings Collectible Card Game, Warlord: Saga of the Storm and RIFTS™.

She also illustrated the book The Survival Guide for Working Moms published by Quill, the office supply company she designed at for over 11 years. She illustrated and composed the graphic design for Sylvia’s Story: The Chicago River Tragedy of the S.S. Eastland and Little Fido.

Her art has been featured numerous times by Artsnacks, a monthly art supply subscription service. She runs and curates her own Etsy store where you can find prints and jewelry. Fresh work is added weekly to her Instagram account, artbytinadh. Tina is well versed many art mediums and many crafts due to her insatiable curiosity but considers gouache her goto medium.

Artist’s Statement

I am at heart, a storyteller. Through my art, I create illustrations that are influenced by the magic of nature and folktales. Drawn to moments of reflection, curiosity and hope, I attempt to capture a feeling that is at once separated from reality yet still firmly rooted in the natural world. My hope is to guide others into an experience of awe and wonder and be transported, briefly, into the elsewhere.
